Winter Newsletter 2010
We are officially half way through our current school year
and plans for next fall are beginning to take shape. We have enjoyed our first
two terms and have appreciated the involvement of parents and volunteers.
Mr. Burley returns this term to help with Science and morning study time.
In recent months we enjoyed a trip to Upper Canada
Village-overnight in Morrisburg, skating at the arena, a Chinese lunch, tubing,
and most recently a Sir Sam's ski day!
Items to Note and Some to Pray About:
- Praise God for a successful fundraiser at Christmas.
Thanks to McKeck's Restaurant for donating the proceeds from Hot Chocolate
sales after the parade!
- Praise God for a smooth, safe school year thus far.
- Pray for a successful Family Fun Day, Feb. 15th.
- Pray for Spring Golf Tournament Plans.
- raise God for the addition of Dee Wruth as our
Administrative Assistant for PTWIA and Tall Oaks, last spring. What a
blessing!
Fundraising
Grocery Voucher Program
Steve Todd, of Todd's Independent Grocers in Haliburton, has agreed to donate
5% of our grocery voucher sales to PTWIA for Tall Oaks purposes.
The way it works... purchase pre-loaded grocery voucher cards from us in
increments of $50, $100, or $250 and use them to make your everyday grocery
purchases at Todd's. It's that easy!! It's of no extra cost to you but benefits
the school incredibly. This is a unique program and we want to take full
advantage of it's great income generating potential. Vouchers are available
through the school and at Millennium Lifestyles Health and Fitness Centre
in the village of Haliburton. Please contact the PTWIA office for more
information at 705 457-9163.
